Sports communication: face to face with Alessandra Ortenzi For our usual appointment with interviews, today we interview Alessandra Ortenzi, expert in sports communication, journalist and author of the book " Digital Marketing for Sport" published by Hoepli. Hi Alessandra, tell us a little about yourself and your work… My path has been linear in some ways (as regards the tech part) in others more complex (as regards the journalistic part) but I come from a long experience in the field of IT and training. Then, at the end of the 90s, with the birth of the Internet and the evolution of communication on the web, I embraced the part of Social Marketing and Digital Marketing, then combining, a few years later, my passion and experience in basketball and all the sports in general. Today I am a sports journalist, I essentially write about basketball in the social world.
I take care of the digital and operational part of some Find Your Phone Number sporting events and, for several years, I have carried out the duties of Social Media and Digital PR Manager for some companies and newspapers. Can you tell us about your Digital Sports project? What is the underlying objective? And what are the steps to take to achieve it? Sportdigitale, the website and social channels, were born at the same time as the publication of the book "Digital Marketing for Sport" by Hoepli because my team and I, who collaborated in drafting the text, felt the need to use the manual as a point of starting point from which to develop a project and a community around the book. The objective is to spread digital culture in sport and in all those figures who gravitate around it: journalists, photographers, communicators, athletes, sports clubs, partners, communication agencies, agents and agents.
The strategy is to bring around, in the largest Digital Marketing events or events focused on the sport of each discipline, a series of operational workshops to be held as a team, to replicate the concept of the sports team not only on the pitch but also off the pitch . Can you tell us about the team that makes up Sport Digitale? The team is made up of me, who am the virtual coach of the group, Alessandro Vezzoli, sports photographer and President of basketinside.com and 7 other digital specialists: Bernardo Mannelli, Monia Taglienti, Flavius Florin Harabor, Maria Grazia Rosati, Valentina Baldon , Roberto Gerosa and Corinna Caccianiga, each a specialist in their own digital subject.
